Rio Real Playa is surrounded by the sea and the beautiful golf course of Rio Real, which is one of the only two Golfcourses in the region that lead down to the sea. The area around Marbella has 60 golfcourses to choose from, also known as "Golfers Paradise".

Other nearby attractions include the beautiful Orange Square in the Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets and plenty of restaurants and tapas bars around. Only a short drive to the east the small port of Capopino offers boat rental and Dolphin viewing tours as well as bars and restaurants.

Tthe medieval town of Ronda is about 40 min drive to the west, on the way lies Puerto Banus with its famous yacht harbour and the village of San Pedro.
